Value Antiques Grading Scale
GRADE 10 (MINT)-Unused, absolutely no wear, like new.
GRADE 9 (NEAR MINT)-Appears new, but on closer examination there is minor
wear, a few very light scratches, or slight dullness can be seen.
GRADE 8 (EXCELLENT)-General appearance is very pleasing with only a few
very minor dents, scratches, and loss of paint to distract.
GRADE 7 (VERY GOOD)-Still attractive to display, but with more defects
than one in excellent condition; has some rust, pitting, and fading.
GRADE 6 (GOOD)-Used, faded; has paint wear, dents, scratches, and rust.
Generally not collectible unless the item is especially hard to find.
GRADE 5 (POOR)-Has serious problems; heavily rusted, scratched, pitted;
has little if any value.
